Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun.
It is with great sadness we share the death of our chairman brother Kamel Al Banna ( Abdu Mustafa ). He passed away on the morning of 14h July 2020.
Abdu Mustafa is the main founder of Mercy Relief Charity. He started it with his wife Um Mustafa in January 2008 to help the orphans in Yemen.
He fully dedicated his time to Mercy Relief Charity volunteering as a chairman. We pray that Allah blesses him with the highest rank in Jannah and has mercy upon him as he showed kindness and mercy to those in need.
To show our appreciation for the dedication and commitment displayed by brother Abdu Mustafa, we aim to sponsor 100 orphans on his behalf. May Allah except it from him and us. Ameen.
Orphans in Yemen are among the most vulnerable in our world.
Left to fend for themselves in a brutal war, many are hungry, homeless and alone.
The lives that they once knew have gone – and sadly, too, have their parents.
Forced to grow up without the comfort of a mother or father, they don’t know how they’ll survive day to day.
Many are exposed to exploitation and abuse.
Conditions in Yemen are deteriorating and orphans face the brunt of the conflict.
Sponsoring an orphan in Islam is one of the most blessed acts we can do and one encouraged by our Prophet (pbuh).
With over 400 orphans sponsored, your support is a lifeline for these children.
Help us provide food, clothes, medical care, education, clean water and a home for Yemeni orphans.
After all they’ve been through, they need a lifeline.
For thousands of families in Yemen, this year won’t be one of joy. Their lives have been ripped apart and parents can’t bring happiness to the lives of their children.
But you can.
After 5 devastating years, you can make a difference.

There are many beautiful hadiths on orphans. Our faith guarantees us great reward for sponsoring orphans.
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Myself and the caretaker of an orphan will be in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together.
