How your donations can help starving children in Yemen
Since the Yemen conflict began, the number of starving children and mothers has been sadly increasing every year. Now, due to COVID-19, a spike in food prices and the collapse of the Yemeni Rial, the crisis is worsening.
80 percent of Yemen’s population is unable to access basic nutrition and vital medicine, which is having a devasting impact on health. As well as the risk of severe acute malnutrition, malnourished children are vulnerable to disease and infections, including cholera, diarrhoea, and COVID-19, with malnutrition also causing irreversible damage to the physical and cognitive development of Yemen’s children.
Behind every hungry child is a hungry family
At Mercy Relief, we know that behind every malnourished child is a family struggling to survive. Unable to afford food at the local markets, parents are feeding their children bread to stay alive.
To help starving children, we must support every member of the household. By donating to us, 100% of your money will help starving children and their families with life-saving food, clean water, and healthcare, as well as shelter and education.
Our life-saving work in Yemen
Mercy Relief provides emergency relief and development projects solely in Yemen. Last year thanks to the support of our generous donors, we provided food aid to more than 120,000 people and fresh water to 130,000 children and their families. We have sponsored over 600 orphans, provided medical help to more than 10,000 people, opened two free emergency pharmacies, and supported two hospitals during the COVID-19 crisis.
The children of Yemen and the families that care for them need our support now more than ever. Please give generously to one of our life-saving projects today.
