Zakat: fulfil your obligation today and support those most in need

“And establish prayer and give Zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah.” [2:110]

You can pay your Zakat ul Maal and Zakat ul Fitr (Fitrana) with Mercy Relief.

We care about your Zakat. This is why we ensure that 100% of it reaches those most in need in Yemen.

Zakat ul Maal is a beautiful and essential part of Islam. Giving the compulsory 2.5% of your wealth every year to the poor and needy is an act of worship and obedience. An act that purifies your wealth and transforms the lives of vulnerable communities.

Provide food to families in Yemen

Hunger is the main cause of all health complications yet 16 million people in Yemen go hungry because they cannot afford to eat. Most barely have enough food to survive.

You can donate your Zakat towards some of our food projects:

Food Parcels – We deliver monthly food parcels to families in Yemen. The parcels contain nutritious food items to feed a family of seven for a month.

Each food parcel costs £60. You can feed five families of about seven people for just £300.

Support our bakeries – We have developed, smooth-running, localised bread factories in Yemen to support those most in need. Right now, we support 12 bakeries, providing essential bread to over 28,000 people every day. With your generous support, we can continue providing bread and feeding more people in Yemen.

£240 can provide bread to feed 1,875 hungry people

£960 can provide bread to feed 7500 people.

Sponsor an orphan with your Zakat

Every day, more children in Yemen are orphaned due to conflict, disease and starvation. They need our help. Protecting orphaned children carries with it an unimaginable reward – it’s one of the greatest things you can do in Islam. An act so beloved to Allah SWT.

So far, with your support, we are sponsoring over 600 orphans. This year, we want to sponsor more children.

For £300 –  you can sponsor a Yemeni orphan for an entire year.

Give cash aid to those in need

Last year we supported over 10,000 people with cash aid. Allowing them to be able to afford their basic needs. You can give your Zakat as cash aid to families in need.

Giving your Zakat to Yemen will allow us to protect orphans and help the most vulnerable in their fight against extreme hunger and starvation.

Together we will save lives.

We are working in the most hard-to-reach areas to deliver essentials and help the people of Yemen.

In Ramadan, every good deed and act of worship is rewarded abundantly. This is our chance to make the most of this holy month.

Pay your Zakat in Ramadan and maximise your rewards whilst saving lives in Yemen.
