Mercy Relief cares about your Zakat.
And this is why we ensure 100% of your Zakat for Yemen reaches those most in need.
Zakat is an essential part of Islam – the compulsory giving of 2.5% of your wealth to the poor and vulnerable, in order to cleanse your income.
This Ramadan we have distributed cash aid to more than 5,000 people and with your help we can reach 20,000 Yemenis.
Mercy Relief has a great range of projects you can donate to, including the following:
Food Parcels: We fed over 83,000 people in 2019. But 10 million Yemenis are one step away from famine.
Just £50 will help feed a whole family for one month.
Bakery: Since Ramadan 2019, we’ve provided fresh bread to 28,160 people.
£30 will provide fresh bread to 3750 people. – £60 will provide fresh bread to 750 people – £600 for one ton of flour for 7500 people.
Orphans: Everyday, more orphans are created as innocent men and women are killed or die due to hunger or disease.
For £240 you can sponsor a Yemeni orphan for an entire year
Water: We are providing vital, fresh water to those most in need.
You can provide 50 barrels of water for just £250.
Ramadan is the most blessed time of the year to fulfil your obligation of Zakat. Every act of worship in the holy month is multiplied, so your Zakat will be rewarded more than any other time of the year!
Your Zakat for Yemen can care for orphans and the elderly, provide food and water, deliver healthcare and education, or even provide emergency aid. It literally saves lives.
We are working in the most hard-to-reach areas to deliver essentials and help the people of Yemen.
Help us reach people across Taiz, Hudaydah, San’a, Aden and Ibb.
