In March this year, Yemen marked 6 years of conflict. 6 years of destruction and loss of life. 6 years of unbearable difficulty for the people. Today, Yemen stands as a country ravaged by hunger, starvation, malnutrition and disease. The population is at imminent risk.
This Ramadan our campaign will focus on saving lives in Yemen. We will deliver urgently needed aid to tackle malnutrition and cholera. We will provide families with food and water whilst we provide medicine to those who cannot afford it.
Yemen needs you and this is our chance to save a life. We need your support.
Malnutrition is threatening the lives of millions in Yemen. The UN estimates that nearly 2.3 million children under the age of five will suffer from acute malnutrition this year.
Of these, 400,000 are expected to face severe acute malnutrition and could die if they do not receive urgent treatment. More than 1 million pregnant and breastfeeding women also need urgent treatment and life-saving food to survive.
Cholera is also rife and the nation’s children are being hit the worst. This is our chance to save a life before an entire generation of Yemen is wiped out.
£80 Emergency kit – Can provide a nutritious food parcel to a family of seven facing malnutrition and a cholera hygiene kit to help stop the spread of the disease.
£60 Baby Milk for a month – Will provide vulnerable babies with milk for a month. This will help mothers struggling to feed their children this month.
This Ramadan, just like last year and the year before, Yemeni families are fasting amidst the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. They have nothing to break their fast, Some go without food for days at a time, most barely have enough to survive. 16 million Yemenis are food insecure.
To add to this, since the beginning of the conflict, over 14 million Yemenis struggle to access clean water. Families have had to walk for miles every day just to find clean water.
This can’t go on.
£65 Ramadan parcel – Will provide a family-of-seven with a nutritious food parcel, with enough food items including dates, to last the entire month. They will also get enough water to drink.
£60 Clean Safe Water – this will provide 3 families with clean water for their daily needs, to last a month.
£170 Water tank for a household – Provide a water storage tank for a family to help them store clean safe water at home. This is a relief for families who have nowhere to store the water we provide for the month.
“Whoever removes a grief from a believer from amongst the sorrows of this life, Allah will remove a grief from him amongst the sorrows of the Day of Resurrection” (Muslim)
After years of war, the health systems in Yemen have been decimated. Only half of the health facilities are functioning. Most that remain operational lack medical supplies, medicine and basic equipment. With multiple diseases ravaging the country, millions are left vulnerable to sickness. This is our chance to save a life.
Last year, with your support we opened two free emergency pharmacies in Yemen. Through this project, thousands of people who cannot afford medicine now have access to it.
£45 monthly donation – This will ensure that our free pharmacies stay open to provide free medicine to those who can’t afford it.
£150 Cataract Operation – Give the gift of sight. Help someone undergo a cataract operation to correct their vision.
Did you know that the Prophet (PBUH) loved the people of Yemen? In several narrations he spoke so fondly of them, praised them and openly expressed how precious they were to him.
He (PBUH) said – “The people of Yemen have the most delicate hearts, softest minds and are the most readily obedient.” – (Ahmad)

Orphans are among the most vulnerable in our world. They need our love, care, and attention. Protecting orphaned children carries with it an unimaginable reward – it’s one of the greatest things you can do in Islam. An act so beloved to Allah SWT.
But can you imagine the reward for sponsoring an orphan from the people the Prophet loved so much, Yemenis? During the month of Ramadan?
This is our chance to invest in our hereafter.
£20 a month – will provide food, clothes, medical care, clean water and a home for Yemeni orphans.
£240 a year – will sponsor an orphan for a year providing food, clothes, medical care, clean water and a home.
